Overview
VJIT has established the MGN RED Cell with an active Faculty Development Officers and Student Development Officers working under the guidance of the Head of the Institute and MGN MOE REDC TS JNTUH on 28th September 2020.
The gap between the rural and urban development is a major issue of economic development process of the nation and to achieve growth, this gap should be filled in an effective way. The solution identified by VJIT to resolve the issue, though in a small attempt, is to develop entrepreneurial activities in the rural sector.
The VJIT MGN RED Cell shall train and educate the students to identify the potential of rural entrepreneurship in Indian villages.
Objectives of REDC
- To develop understanding about Entrepreneurship in Rural Context;
- To develop entrepreneurial skills in the among youth;
- To explore and identify rural potential for a business ideas;
- To develop skills to convert the ideas into a commercially viable business concepts;
- To measure the feasibility of the identified concepts by the students;
- To develop a framework for integrating the business concepts and markets; and
- To develop and implement a Rural Enterprise.

Achievements
- Ms. Akshitha from the I year bagged the First Prize in the 2K Run category organized by the NSS and VJIT REDC in collaboration with UPL, SVR United & ADVANTA on the eve of International Women’s Day Celebrations-2021 in support to Women in Farming . In recognition of the valuable contribution of VJIT REDC & NSS teams the SVR group presented a Memento to the Principal Dr. A Padmaja.
- Students Participated in National Webinar on Leadership in Higher & Technical Education to Promote Innovation & Startup Culture within College Campus on 6th February 2021.
