Dr. John Babu Guttikonda is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in teaching and more than a decade of expertise in administration. Currently, he serves as Senior Professor in the Department of AI & DS. Prior to his service at VJIT, Dr. Guttikonda held several leadership roles, including Principal, Vice Principal, and HoD at Vijaya Engineering College, Khammam, since 2019.

Dr. Guttikonda holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, an M.Tech in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from JNTUH University, Hyderabad. His academic career spans in multiple prestigious institutions including Sreekavitha Engineering College and Sri Venkateswara Engineering College. His Ph.D. research focused on Steganalysis, the process of detecting hidden data within images. He developed two advanced techniques using Machine Learning, AI, and Convolutional Neural Networks, analyzing over 2 lakh images. Dr. Guttikonda has published 11 international papers and holds a patent for an IoT-based system designed to detect animals on highways.
