Artificial Intelligence

About theDepartment

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Department is established in 2019 with an intake of 60 students and the present intake is 120. The Department is presently offering B.Tech course in AI&DS. The BOS (Board of Studies) of AI Department is having strong industry and academia representatives from Microsoft, EPAM Solutions and United India Online. The first footprint of AI in VJIT intends to serve the industry as source of talent through latest academic outreach programs and concentrates to expand its academic areas on industry requirement. The department endeavours to craft good collaboration with industries which are working in AI domain. It aims to groom the students in careers who can rapidly integrate and synchronize the use of sophisticated computer software and programs in addition to specific skill sets to support and lead projects on robotics, automation in AI.

It is concentrating on the following areas mainly. –

Faculty and Student Certifications
Students learning groups in the Area of Data Science, IoT, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Gaming etc.
Making the students strong in basic and advance coding
Motivating the students confident on self-learning for beyond the syllabus content for better learning.
In total about 200 certifications are done by 60 AI students in 1st 2 semesters.
Encouraging the students to do projects from II year onwards.
Motivating the students to do certification for every lab subject.

Highlights of theDepartment

Dept. of AI conducted Student training program by Hexart and doing 6 internships in Hexart which is collaborated with Hexagon.
Advanced computing laboratories of latest configurations.
The lab equipped with an enriching hardware and software ecosystem, allowing students to learn skills like Robotics, IOT, Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Tinkering.

Project Based Study
Industry Oriented Curriculum. Robotics, Machine Learning, Cloud Technologies, Mobile Application Development, Data Analytics and other latest technologies have been included in the curriculum in line with industry expectations.
Memorandum of Understanding with IIIT Enhance Education Hyderabad, Byndr Learning Management System,IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorials, Robofest and loncudos.
The department constituted various clubslike technical club, art club, cultural club, photography club, sports club, innovation club to support co-curricular and extra-curricular interests of the students.
Continuous Community connect through NSS .The students of AI actively participate in different NSS activities like blood donation, tree plantation, awareness programs and relief collection & distribution programs whenever required.
Research within the Department is grouped into Eight clubs such as: Robotics Club, The NLP and Deep Learning Club, The Data Science Club, Amazon Web Services Club, The Drone Club, Internet of Things Club, AI Gaming Club.
