A Two day workshop on ‘THE CHANGING PARADIGMS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING IN A HETEROGENEOUS SETTING’ was organized by The Faculty of English, Department of Humanities and Sciences, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology on 6th and 7th September, 2012 in collaboration with ELTAI, Hyderabad.

The workshop started on 6th at 10.00 A.M. with the Inaugural Ceremony. Prof. Durga Bhavani, Professor of English, Osmania University was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Ceremony. Dr. P. Aparna, Prof. of English, GNITS, Secretary, ELTAI was the Special Invitee. Sri. V. Purushottam Reddy, Secretary, VJIT, Dr. Rajeshwar Reddy, Correspondent, VJIT, Dr. P. Venu Gopal Reddy, Director, VJIT were present on the occasion.

Eminent Professors from Osmania University, Hyderabad Central University, EFLU were invited as Guest Speakers. Lectures by Prof. Mohan Ramanan, Dean, Humanities and Sciences, HCU, Dr. Satya Harini, Professor, EFLU, and Prof. V. Purushottam Reddy, VJIT were scheduled for the first day. The participants reached a state of ecstasy listening to the fantastic lecture by Prof. Mohan Ramanan.

On day two, we had sessions by Prof. Sumitha Roy, Board of Studies, OU, Prof. Murali Krishna, HOD, Department of English, Nizam College, OU and Prof. Madhurima, CBIT.

A panel discussion led by Mr. Satya Kiran, Assoc. Prof., Department of Management, VJIT and Mr. Srinivas, Asso. Prof. CBIT made the audience come forward and speak enthusiastically on related issues. The audience had a great time expressing their views.

One hundred and sixteen (116) delegates from different colleges attended the workshop. The Convenor of the workshop, Ms. Lubna Ismail presented the theme of the workshop.

The workshop came to a close with a valedictory ceremony. Dr. Anuradha Rao, Senior Training Manger, V Splash, was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory. Participation Certificates were distributed to all the delegates. The delegates were very happy with the sessions and expressed their sense of appreciation. The Organizing team led by Ms. Lubna Ismail supported by Ms. Prasanna Lakshmi, Mr. Aila Upendar, Mr. Shiva Ram Prasad and Ms. Elizabeth Kamala expressed their happiness over the overwhelming response to the workshop and the successful completion of the event.

I came here for my son's EAMCET exam, looking good and out side greenary and lans good. Collage will look like big from out side but not that much big. Cafeteria is also good. my review is only based on my visit. for remaining you can check by directly consulting with concerned people.
