Details of the Visit
The visit began with a Safety Induction Session conducted by the Chief Safety Officer, ensuring all students were aware of the safety protocols before entering the manufacturing zone.
Students were divided into two batches, each guided by a dedicated engineer to explore the shop floor and production line, with a focus on coupling manufacturing processes. Key observations during the visit included:
- Raw Material Inspection – Checking quality of incoming materials
- Design Verification – Understanding how approved coupling designs are allocated for production
- Machining Processes – Live demonstration of milling, drilling, shaping, planning, and polishing
- Painting & Assembly – Observation of post-processing and final assembly
- Quality Control – Inspection protocols to ensure high product standards
- Packaging – Final stage before dispatch
After the hands-on tour, Mr. O.V.B. Subramanyam (Senior Manager) provided an insightful session summarizing the manufacturing workflow and process integration at Regal Rexnord. Students also interacted with key personnel, including:

- Mr. Harsh Lahoti – Production Engineer
- Mr. Ravindra – HR Executive
Outcome of the Visit
The industrial visit gave students practical exposure to advanced manufacturing processes and quality control systems used in global engineering firms. It also led to fruitful discussions on mutual collaboration opportunities, including:
