The Department of ECE has conducted a 3-day workshop on Design and Simulation of Smart Agriculture Robot using Solid Works, MATLAB and Proteus from 9th May, 2023 to 11th May 2023, under IEEE Communications Society and IEEE RAS Societies. The workshop is inaugurated by Dr E Sai Baba Reddy, Director, Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, Dr M Rajendra Prasad, Head of the Department –ECE, Dr Sudarshan Jaybalan, IEEE ROBOTICS CHAIR, Ms S Mounika -Founder IIIRPD, Mrs Srilatha, Academic Coordinator and Mr.Venkata Chalam, Senior Administrative officer. 75 students from interdisciplinary domains have participated in a 3-day workshop and gained hands-on training on design, Simulation and assembling of a Robot Using the software tools Such as solid works, MATLAB and Proteus.
As part of the workshop, on the first day students are trained with hands-on sessions on solid works, learning the basics and design of a robotic arm. On the second day of the session’s hands-on sessions on Proteus tool, followed by assembling hardware units to make a robot by uploading the data into the cloud. On the third day sessions are continued making robot movement by interfacing with Bluetooth with the available data in the cloud.
